After some research i determined with some degree of certainty that this was once a kit boat from glen-l designs called the zip. </p><p> i began this project of invention and customization by removing and replacing about 95% of the wood.. The plans for the zip came from glen-l with a step-by-step instruction manual and full-sized patterns for the transom, frames, gussets, stem, breasthook, and knees. builders can shorten the boat by 10 percent if they reduce the frame spacing, but glen-l recommends against lengthening the zip.. (reed prince) screwdriver and ordered the fearson bits from glen-l. not sure if they land at the right place on the stem but the notches in the plans seem to encourage the wood to land where it lands..
